Although a lot of game products have been created on the military theme, it still haunts the developers. Everyone cherishes the dream of creating something that will be radically different from the competition. One of these attempts was the game Enlisted, a multiplayer client-side shooter that plays out real-life episodes of World War II.

The author of the project is the Latvian company Darkflow Software, which managed to draw attention to its brainchild in a rather unconventional way. In Enlisted, along with other missions, there is a comic April Fools' mode, when soldiers fight in only shorts, are armed with cutlery along with ordinary weapons, and pans, colanders, and waffle iron serve as their protection. The idea really liked the players, and at their request it was released as a separate product called Cuisine Royale.

Apart from a humorous digression, otherwise those who wish to download Enlisted will receive a serious, balanced and thoughtful scenario of a big war. As the developers themselves say, they wanted to get away from the classic version of missions and fights, when groups of participants fight among themselves for a certain reward, which looks more like a sports competition than a real strategy.

But later they thought that the view of an outside observer is easier, because it allows you to assess the situation from different angles, which is not available in the real world. Since the focus is on realism, it was decided to remove the third-person view completely, allowing the participants to feel all those emotions of a soldier trapped in a trench when a giant tank is crawling towards him.

You can play the game Enlisted as part of a squad of up to 20 people, and at the same time up to 150 participants are sometimes present on the battlefield. This limitation is not accidental, because the more soldiers there are on the site, the more serious the requirements for the detail and capabilities of the computer. Returning to the question of realism, it is worth saying that the forces of the parties do not have to be equal, because in reality this does not exist. Sometimes the enemy is significantly superior to you, but no one canceled the operation. But there is a choice to stand up to the last soldier or until the successful completion of the mission.

Another feature of Enlisted for PC is that not only each soldier is unique here, but also the weapon with its history, flaws and marks. The combat arsenal is quite extensive, so there are light personal weapons and equipment of all calibers. Already at the moment of the announcement, Enlisted's game won the sympathy of ordinary players and professionals. It remains to create your own opinion by joining the gameplay.

Enlisted campaigns

Capania - detailed reconstruction of the combat events of the Second World War. Not only weapons and military equipment, but also locations are worked out to the smallest detail. Having stepped on the battlefield once, you will not want to leave it until the bitter end.

• Battle of Moscow (1941-1942) - from the lessons of history we know that the Germans never reached the city. But at one time they could be seen through binoculars from the outskirts of the city. In this campaign, you will fight in the surrounding villages and cities, you will be able to test your strength for both warring parties.
• Invasion of Normandy (1944) - considered the largest air assault campaign of the entire Second World War. She has been played in many films and other games. But only in Enlisted you will be able to fully feel the brunt of the battle that fell on the shoulders of ordinary soldiers. The united allied troops land on the Belega line, fortified by German bunkers and machine-gun points. The outcome of the battle depends only on you.
• Battle of Tunisia (1942-1943) - Historians mark this battle as a key battle in the war for North Africa. Since capturing Tunisia, opening up new ways of attacking Europe. The Germans understood this and did not spare their soldiers. Battles will take place in small cities in desert areas, and the unbearable heat will add thrill.
• Battle of Berlin - an epic battle for the capital of Germany back in 1945 was given by the troops of the allies and the USSR. There is no point in describing the importance of this campaign for modern history. Difficult battles took place in dilapidated Berlin. Here, a bullet or a projectile could fly into you from anywhere. Collect your entire field into a fist and go through this heroic battle.

Enlisted squads

Separately, it is worth mentioning the unit system in the Enlisted game. After all, the number of fighters in the squad is limited, and there are much more specializations. Whom you take depends only on you and your combat mission. The success of the mission also directly depends on this. Therefore, always plan your tactics and strategy before starting a fight. After all, brute force by itself will not bring much pain. Especially if the enemy is in the majority.

• The fighter is the most massive type of soldier on the battlefield. Uses semi-automatic rifles and bolt action rifles. It is part of almost any squad.
• Mortar - fights from long distances, where he will be protected from enemy attacks. Uses small mortar guns. High explosive and fragmentation damage.
• Sniper - fires at the enemy from far away cover. Uses bolt action rifles and telescopic sight. High combat power, but low rate of fire.
• Armor-piercer - Uses rocket-propelled grenade launchers and heavy anti-tank rifles in combat. Effective against enemy vehicles. Can fire at infantry.
• Stormtrooper - uses automatic weapons, submachine guns. A good fighter for long protracted battles. Great for destroying enemy infantry.
• Engineer - a unique type of support troops. Good for defensive purposes, but also useful for attacks. Builds defensive structures and stationary firing points.
• Heavy - Uses light machine guns to suppress enemy offensive forces. With skillful leadership, a single Heavy can hold back an entire squad of infantry.
• Radist - can cause artillery strikes at enemy locations. With a precise hit, destroys military equipment.
• Flamethrower - highly effective at close range against infantry in fortified areas. Use compact backpack flamethrowers. The burning mixture sticks to the surface and deals high permanent damage.
• A motorcyclist is the most agile fighter. He starts a battle on a motorcycle with a sidecar, a machine gun is attached to the sidecar. Perfect for throwing soldiers behind enemy lines and distracting attention.
• Tankist - starts the battle with the tank. May be the only manager, gunner and gunner.
• Pilot - starts the battle at the controls of a fighter or attack aircraft. Equipped with outboard and course weapons. Recharging is carried out in places of deployment.
