Dune Spice Wars
Dune: Spice Wars real-time strategy, but not quite the usual. The events in it unfold rather slowly, therefore, to a certain extent, it can be similar to a step-by-step one. But at the moment the game is in early access and by the time of the full release this may change. The graphics in the game are good, but the musical arrangement seems a bit unfinished, but this will definitely be fixed by the release.
In the game you will find a struggle for power on the planet Arrakis, familiar to all Dune fans. It will be necessary to build cities, extract spices, wage wars.
Before playing Dune: Spice Wars - choose a faction. At the moment, there are four factions available, but the developers promise to increase their number in updates.
The following factions are now available:
- Atreides
- Harkonens
- Smugglers
- Freemen
All of them are approximately equal in their capabilities, but each has its own peculiarity. The Harkonens look weaker than others, but by the time you are reading this text, the developers may have already made the necessary changes.
Spice is the main resource on the planet. It is valuable because it gives longevity to people who consume it with food. It is also necessary for space navigators. In addition, it is used in religious ceremonies. But in the game, it's just a resource that can be sold at a price set by the emperor on a monthly basis. Decide how much to sell and how much to leave in storage, but it is worth considering the price has risen or fallen at the moment.
Starting play, you get at your disposal one city in the desert of Arrakis. Next, use the ornithopters to scout the area. Then proceed to the extraction of spices and not only her.
You need to take care of both water supplies and the extraction of raw materials for a special, very durable plastic, which serves as a building material in the game.
There is also such a phenomenon as taxation. Taxes must be paid and preferably on time, otherwise you will find out what the imperial guard is like.
While moving through the desert, don't lose your vigilance because of the giant sandworms of the Shaihuluds. Watch out and your transport or unit may be swallowed.
Not all settlements in the desert belong to you or one of your rivals, there are also small settlements called sitch. In such places live neutral Freemen, who are the original inhabitants of this planet. You can trade with them or ignore them. From the point of view of military booty, they are not of particular interest.
There are three ways to win the game.
- The easiest, though not the easiest, for the military to capture all the cities and defeat rivals.
- Diplomatically using diplomacy, and sometimes various intrigues and even espionage, to achieve the appointment of the governor of Arrakis.
- After accumulating enough hegemony points, the developers most likely named the reputation that way.
Dune: Spice Wars download for free on PC, unfortunately, will not work. But the game can be purchased on the Steam game portal, especially since the price for it has been reduced since the game is in early access.
