Shardpunk: Verminfall is an interesting RPG in an unusual style. The graphics in the game are pixelated, simplified, but this does not stop the game from being interesting. The voice acting is of high quality, the music is energetic, you will probably want to replenish your music library with some compositions.
The plot of the game is fascinating and unusual. It's about a world in which there was a devastating conflict. You, along with a team of like-minded people, will have to escape by breaking through the battles from the war-torn city. Most of the civilian population has been destroyed. You will not be confronted by people, but by giant mutated rats and other parasites, some of them armed with deadly weapons.
Developers took care to provide the game with a short and understandable tutorial. After you learn how to manage, you will find many difficulties on the way to salvation.

It is better to move quickly and not waste time in vain. A hostile horde is following in your footsteps, in a collision with which your small army will die. But you should not rush too much, look for locations near thermonuclear reactors where you can set up a temporary camp and rest before moving on. Small breaks will allow you to cool and repair weapons made using the technologies of the world in the steampunk style.
Battles in the game take place in turn-based mode. Your warriors and enemy monsters act alternately. Study the strengths and weaknesses of your fighters and take this into account when choosing a team composition.
In order to advance further, you need to replenish resources, but finding them takes time and allows pursuers to get closer. Playing Shardpunk: Verminfall will not be easy because you will constantly have to find a balance between movement speed and replenishment of supplies.
As you progress, the difficulty will increase. Food supplies that you can find may be spoiled, and the enemies you meet will become more and more powerful. You need to go through three dangerous areas in order to get out of the city and survive. But this is an almost suicidal mission that not everyone will be able to handle. You won't be able to get through the first time. But do not be discouraged, each new attempt will make you stronger and prepare you for the upcoming difficulties.
