You must protect the base from enemies in the game that will attack it with its ultra-fast aircraft. You'll have to kill sitting in his plane and meet them on the approach to the base. After each attack a broken you can pump your aircraft, improving its various characteristics. This will deal with the enemy in the later levels, that will prepare you more enemies.
