Assassins Creed Odyssey is a slightly unusual game for this series, it is, in fact, the first real RPG in the cycle. The graphics in the game are traditionally on top. They also did a good job on the audio design, the music corresponds to what is happening at this moment and allows you to create the right atmosphere.
The story begins with a battle scene where King Leonidas smashes the Persian army. Next, before playing Assassins Creed Odyssey, choose the gender of the main character. This is the first game in the series where such a solution exists, but this does not spoil it, as many feared, although there is a slight inconsistency in the Animus legend, but such a trifle can be forgiven. Ahead of you is a gigantic open world that the main character has to explore. It will not be so easy to do this, unlike previous games in the line, here you will have to devote a lot of time to developing combat skills and pumping equipment and weapons, otherwise you will be killed often. There are a lot of weapons in the game, although there are no hidden blades so beloved by many, but you will not miss them for long.

Weapons can belong to different classes, be the simplest or legendary. Weapons can be improved and decorated with various engravings.
There is quite a lot of water on the game map, this is no accident. Navigation and battles on the water add variety to the game. You will need to improve your ship, preparing it for numerous boardings and skirmishes at sea, because even then there was Greek fire - the artillery of that time. In addition, select a team and improve the skills of your fighters.
You play during the time when the Peloponnesian War is going on in the lands of ancient Greece. Territories controlled by one side or the other. You will follow the principle of divide and conquer. First, destabilize the region by committing sabotage. Subsequently, it will be possible to take part in a general battle on the side of the attackers or defenders. But you need to prepare well for this, blows will pour in from all sides, and if you haven’t done this for a long time, you won’t hold out.
You can get side quests from bulletin boards. Check them often, there is almost always something new there. Some of these tasks are quite simple, but there are others that lead to quite interesting quests.
The combat system in the game is very advanced. For each type of weapon, there are a number of techniques and combat techniques that are best understood as soon as possible.
Enemy intelligence improved compared to previous games in the series. When attacking, for example, a certain ruler with a bow, the guards will try to cover him by surrounding him from all sides. It will also not be possible to hide and wait out the alarm, the enemies will continue to look for you on the map. Playing due to such innovations is much more interesting.
The campaign is more exciting than in the previous parts. Dialogues are more emotional. The decisions you make have a direct impact on what happens next.
