This time the main character of the story campaign will be a young man named Dario. He is a completely ordinary young man, but suddenly his origins are revealed. Thanks to this, Dario becomes heir to the throne. The country is experiencing many internal conflicts at this moment. Help him unite all the provinces and pacify the local aristocracy.

This may turn out to be more complicated than it looks at first glance.

Before you start, take a short training course to quickly understand the controls. It won't take long, and in just a few minutes you'll be ready to start playing.

Lots of things await you:

• Engage in exploration of the territory, send scouts in different directions
• Find and organize the extraction of resources, first of all you will need building materials
• Study new technologies, thanks to them you will be able to improve buildings and produce more complex products, including weapons
• Create a strong army, otherwise it will not be easy to deal with the rebellious lords
• Take up trading
• Use diplomacy to gain the support of your allies and set enemies at odds with each other
• Play with many players around the world

There have been a lot of changes in this part of the game. If earlier urban planning and economics were in first place, now military affairs has become the main one. Many critics believe that now the game has lost its uniqueness; whether this is so is up to the players to decide.

As in previous parts, battles here take place in real time. The AI of opponents has been noticeably improved and victory is now much more difficult. However, there are still several difficulty levels, everyone can choose the one that suits them.

In addition to the single-player campaign, there is the opportunity to compete with other players. This can be done by choosing a card from a large number of available options.

If you want to get creative, the game has a convenient editor thanks to which you will have the opportunity to create your own scenario or a single level and share it with other players.

You can play The Settlers: Heritage of Kings both online and offline, depending on the selected mode. A connection is required for multiplayer games, but you can enjoy the campaign without an Internet connection.
