According to official versions, it appeared in Great Britain at the end of the nineteenth century, but in some sources you can find earlier mentions of it. They say that this was Napoleon's favorite game and he spent time playing it during his exile on the island of St. Elena.
This game uses a board divided into squares, which may remind you of a chess board, but there are some differences. In this version, its monotony is allowed, since the figures, or rather the chips, do not have a division into moves. Its size should be 8 by 8 cells. A total of 64 figures will be used and their peculiarity is that they are the same in shape on both sides, but painted in contrasting colors. Most often it is white and black, each player must choose their own color. At the beginning of the game, there will be only four chips on the board - two from each participant. Black will be the first to move, unlike most games where the advantage is assigned to white. Each of you will pick up chips from the supply that is left outside the field. Before you take action, you should remember one feature. You need to place yours in such a way that between your two objects there is an opponent’s row. It can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal - it doesn't matter. If you manage to close this row in this way, then all the figures will be inverted, which means they will change color and you will become their owner. It doesn’t matter the number of rows you close, everyone without exception will come to you.
In Reverse you can choose any of the moves that are possible for you at this moment. Also, you cannot refuse a move if you have the opportunity to make it. If there are no options where you can go, you will have to give way to your opponent. The game will continue until the entire playing field is filled. After this, it is necessary to count and then the winner will be determined. Naturally, it will be the one whose color will prevail.
